It has been ages, but finally Logitech has brought out a webcam that’s exclusively for Mac. The Logitech QuickCam Vision Pro has been announced a year after iSight’s FireWire stopped being sold. Logitech’s offering seems to be a more than able replacement and flaunts a Carl Zeiss five-element glass lens. It works with iChat and Skype and has got 2Mp sensor on it. Recording clips at 720p HD video format (960X720 pixels) the QuickCam Vision Pro has an auto focus function that refocuses for image in less than 3 seconds. It records VGA quality video at 30fps. The glossy black and silver body also flaunts a built-in microphone. It would retail around 130 USD when it hits shelves this July. All that in mind, I’m still at a loss to explain why companies keep on making platform specific devices. Maybe you can.
