The cool pen records both audio and handwritten notes in real-time and can also link the two together for reference. The Echo Smartpen also gets 3.5mm headphone jack for personal review, password protection for security of your notes and OLED display to show name of the Smartpen and definitions of the hand written words (courtesy applications for the pen). Livescribe Application Store has been updated with numerous new app, and there is a word that later in the year Echo could be update with a Paper Tablet, Wacom-style digital tablet featuring a microUSB cable.
