Light weight electric car doesn't just save gas

Posted By: Taylor Flatt | Jun 30 2008

HUVO, a single seated electric vehicle, was made by Japanese car manufacturers. Weighing in at only 150kgs, it is like something out of Austin Powers. As he is driving away, they chase him with these type of cars that not only look cool but seemingly drive pretty fast. The car is made out of aluminum alloy with a carbon fiber roof, this makes it very light-weight. With a polycarbonate windshield and wheel covers made of ABS resin, these 4 materials are required to keep it under 300kgs. Although it is electric, light-weight, a running environmental protector, cool looking ride, and a gas saver this can be a deathtrap if not used right by the right driver. If you were to get into a wreck with something like this, it would cause serious injuries.
