South Korean electronics giant LG unveiled the DX2000, world’s first Glasses-Free 3D monitor that comes fitted with an integrated Web Camera for eye-tracking. The users of 20-inch LED backlight monitor will be able to use it for basic Video Conference needs and the Eye Tracking technology will enhance the 3D experience.

The technology will track your eyes in real-time. The DX2000 will also sport the usual 2D to 3D conversion technology. LG is planning to start selling its new product shortly in Korea, for a price around 1.29 Million Won. LG has developed the monitor keeping the entertainment factor in mind because the monitor can reproduce games, movies and images in 3D without glasses.
The DX2000 is different from other 3D monitors because it has glasses-free parallax barrier 3D technology. LG has made it all the more unique by combining parallax barrier and eye-tracking technology as it allowed the company to start a new chapter in the area of 3D products, which don't use glasses.
Though glasses-free 3D monitors are available in the market, but they are not as good as the DX2000 because unlike the DX2000 the viewers of other 3D monitors don't have much luxury of angle and distance to watch 3D images. But in the DX2000, LG had taken care of this drawback, which means that the users can now move more freely. A special camera sensor has been fixed for eye tracking.
The sensor is attached to the monitor. The eye position changes, which is due to movement from one place to another, are detected by this sensor in real-time. The information collected by the sensor and then the monitor calculate both the angle and position of the viewer using this information. After calculating these things, the monitor adjusts the displayed image in order to give best 3D effect.
