LG unveils KC910, an 8MP successor to Viewty

Chuck those digital point-and-shoot cameras and pick up an LG KC910 instead! With an 8MP camera, the calling ability of this mobile phone is perhaps just a complement. LG makes no bones about the image-friendly nature of this Viewty successor. It features a Schneider-Kreuznach lens, a xenon flash, VGA video recording at 30fps, high-speed 120fps filming (at QVGA resolution) and an ISO limit of 1600. Like all gadgets of today, the KC910 also incorporates GPS, which serves imaging needs again. You can geo-tag all the locations you have visited during a photographic escapade. A colossus among multimedia phones, this LG product supports Dolby sound for music, as well as DivX and XviD for video. Manual focus, face, smile and blink detection and a digital image stabilizer are some of the other features offered by this phone.

The LG KC910 is also wireless-enabled. It supports quad-band GSM and HSDPA 7.2 Mbps, Bluetooth 2.0 and Wi-Fi. Memory is taken care of by a microSD slot (for storage up to 8GB). The most interesting aspect of the KC910 is its physical dimensions. Contradictory to its loaded interior, the phone measures just 14mm in thickness. A 3-inch WQVGA 240x400 touch display further adds to its appeal. An October debut has been predicted for the LG KC910. Photography buffs, keep your fingers crossed!
