Yes, LG has really added fuel to the ongoing disk war amongst the major DVD player manufacturers with its new Dual Format Blu-ray/HD-DVD Player.
Though there’s no doubt that the technology will bring in an array of benefits for the consumers, it may trouble some big business in the DVD format war. The new LG dual-format HD-DVD/Blu-ray player will be launched later this summer and will overtake LG’s first Blu-ray player, the BD199, which has already been scrapped. But the question looms on LG’s production due to licensing issues.
Anyway, LG has come out with a solution, a sort of, and it’s time for other manufacturers to come out of their couches.
