LG Electronics‘ 60-inch 60PC1D plasma displayed at CEDIA (September 14-17) take account of the company’s XD engine technology, intended to alter low-resolution analog signals to high-definition levels. Leaving behind its 50-inch plasma with DVR, this 60-inch plasma includes an HD-DVR unit joined into the plasma television along with two HDMI inputs. The HD-DVR has a 160 GB hard for 13 hours of HD programming or 63 hours of standard definition content.

The display also incorporates a 7,000:1 contrast ratio, built-in ATSC/NTSC/QAM tuners and a digital TV reception chipset.
