Making its presence in the simulator kingdom is the most advanced driving simulator by Lexus made to train drivers against avoiding accidents. Comprising a 15-foot high and 20-foot wide domed pod, the Lexus LS 460 simulator is placed at the Toyota research center in Higashifuji, Japan. Surrounded by an interactive 360-degree high-def audio-visual simulation for recreation of the realistic driving environment, the simulator mounted on a turntable lets drivers experience various sketchy driving scenarios. This helps to study a driver’s behaviors and reaction times before accidents.

The three-axis six-strut hexapod mounting system stimulates speeds of up to 186mph and turn signals up to 360 degree. Being capable of moving forward and backward besides tilting in all directions, the simulator also creates accident situations by displaying text messages and other electronic distractions to the driver alongside different traffic scenarios and poor driving visibility.
