Overview
Lenovo makes one more addition to its highly popular ThinkPad X series of laptops that are ultra portable. It is ThinkPad X220 version that has been launched this Tuesday. This new ThinkPad series has a USB 3.0 port and an exquisitely sized 12.5 inch screen with an awesome battery life.

Special Features
Like its preceding model Lenova IdeaPad U260, this one is also 3-pounds with a 12.5 inch screen of 1366X768 resolutions. Its highlight is in the use of the USB 3.0 port with an Intel dual-core processor i7of 2.7GHz. Other models of X220 come with Sandy Bridge processors of i5 and i3 confgurations. Since the speed of data transfer in USB 3.0 is almost 10 times as that of the USB 2.0, you can feel a massive difference while using it. These Sandy Bridge processors are the ones which are found in the ultra portable laptops like MacBook Air and other top vendors’ products.
It has a built-in 3G and a very long battery life (up to 15 hours). The ThinkPad has a standard 9-cell battery and with an addition of an external 19+ battery that extends the life of the battery up to 24 hours. Apart from these features, it includes a quite keyboard, Display Port Connector, SD card slot, an Express Card slot and Intel Integrated HD graphics.
Price & Availability
It has been launched this Tuesday. However, it would be available in the market from this April and cost you $899 only.
