LegoAsimo: A Lego robot with that ultimate bipedal precision

Anything Asimo in any avatar looks freakin’ awesome! This Arno bipedal robot a.k.a “LegoAsimo” by Arno van der Vegt is just another case in point. Controlled by three 3 NXT microcontroller bricks running NXC tethered out of sight, the bot has motors, 4 touch sensors, 5 tilt sensors and an ultrasonic sensor to facilitate the LegoAsimo to move like a bipedal robot. “The robot shifts his weight using its upper body weight along with its arms, which gives it a natural anthropomorphic look.” Follow the jump for a video showing the LegoAsimo abilities as a bipedal Lego robot or check LegoAsimo's photostream on Flickr for images.
