LEGO Street View car is a must have for your brave kid and you

Lego Street Car is a prototype version of Google's Street view car with a lot of rough edges. Decision of Mark Crosbie to make a Lego version of Google's Street View car was inspired by the dGPS sensor and NXT brick from the Dexter industries. The Street Car has a GPS sensor, a robust chassis and four cameras to take photos. It has NXT Motor for steering while the NXTBeee is to send telemetry ( Battery level ,GPS Coordinates ) to a receiver .

The car is controlled manually and has many features such as a PSPNx sensor to receive commands from any standard PSP controller. PSP controller captures an image and log GPS coordinates, the latitude and longitude, from dGPS. NXT creates a KML format file in the flash file system which is then uploaded to PC.

Opening the file in Google Earth shows the path that the car travelled and has placemarks for every picture you captured. Picture can be viewed by clicking on the Placemark. As of now, pictures can be switched together into a 2D panorama manually. Designer is aiming in future, a live streaming video and pictures and 3D panorama addition to the car.

Dubbed a car, it has the structure of a truck and has endless functions, from the joy of starting as an exhibit. This is sure that this will win market in the toy section. A few additions and subtractions of features depending on children's age, can increase the market . Intellectual purpose can also be met using the car as a robot and for investigative purposes with adventures. Lego Street Car is really going to earn many friends.
