LEGO Bumblebee: Magical transformer crafted to perfection!

Love the Transformers series? If you do, then this should have you either gaping your mouth wide open in sheer admiration or jumping up and down with joy as it offers brilliant inspiration. For us though it is the former as we probably would never be able to create anything of this perfection in LEGO for a long time to come. But despite our own clumsiness with the beautiful building blocks, we are simple floored by this LRGO Bumblebee from Wes Pitter.

Watching the first Transformers flick, Bumblebee was surely my favorite and probably of many others as well. And while Hollywood brought to life the Autobot masquerading as the 2010 Camaro, Wes Pitter brought to life the LEGO version of Bumblebee. The amazing thing of course is the amazing details on the Lego model its similarity to the original. As the pictures indicate, this is as close to the real deal as you can get in the Lego universe.

Every inch has been put together with care and it has taken nearly 75 hours spreading across 2 years for Wes to get this done. The transformation might not be a pretty process, as Wes himself admits, but the end result is just outstanding. It is hard enough to create Lego models as it is, but to create exact replicas that also transform to perfection into a completely different form is mastery at its very best.

With Bumblebee coming alive, we hope next in line will be Optimus Prime. Of course, it might take another 2 years for Wes to take out enough time from his life and build a Lego Optimus Prime, but if Bumblebee is anything to go by, it would be worth the wait. Autobots… Transform!
