Laser-driven displays will set LCDs and LEDs obsolete

Come together and welcome the new Laser Phosphor Displays, from Prysm, a start up in California, that offer better image quality at lower costs and at about 25% reduced energy consumption than the LCDs and LEDs. The display technology can be created in any shape or size making it perfect for large installations and advertising. The ultra-efficient display technology is said to be different from the LCD for the fact that the display screens here are covered in phosphor stripes, which instead of using electron beam, uses highly efficient laser beam to activate a field of electro-sensitive phosphors. The company also differentiates the LPDs from the LCD, saying the LPDs have higher resolution resulting in minimum motion blur and a wider viewing angle in comparison.
