The latest USB peripheral that makes the news is LaCie’s new and unique 2big USB 3.0. According to the company, besides other facets the 2big USB 3.0 is perhaps the first RAID storage device to offer USB 3.0 and is also the only storage device that comes in a single interface instead of the multi-connections. Powered by Symware, the dual-bay RAID touts up to 205MB/s and is expected to ship in both 2TB (2x 1TB) and 4TB (2x 2TB) models. The super speed genius and aluminum chassis make surely make the 2big USB 3.0. To hit the market with $349.99 (2TB) and $579.99 (4TB) price tag, the LaCie 2big USB 3.0 can be set to "Safe" and "Fast" mode called the RAID-1 and RAID-0 respectively. RAID-0 mode is what gets the RAID running up to the 200MB/s mark.
