The number ‘1000′ is no mean milestone. The latest entrant into this elite club is the KJ4 Series Printhead, which has been dubbed the world’s fastest high-resolution inkjet printhead. A printhead is the primary imaging component in an inkjet printer. Capable of printing 1000 A4 sheets per minute, the printhead also boasts of the most expansive print line among its contemporaries, with a width of 4.25 inches (108 millimeters). The KJ4 Series employs Kyocera’s proprietary piezoelectric ceramics technology to incorporate a compact piezo actuator3 - a vital component in the printhead. The product offers full-color print speeds in the range of 200m per minute at a resolution of 600 x 480 dpi or 150m per minute at a resolution of 600 x 600 dpi. The printhead, with its revolutionary performance and reliability, will be available from April 2008.
