Konica Minolta develops world's highest luminescence Organic EL screen for mobile phones

Konica Minolta have successfully developed a High luminescence Organic EL Screen, in fact having the highest luminous efficiency in the world, that delivers 1000 cd/m2 or 64 lumens of brightness and have a luminous life of approximately 10,000 hours.

The Organic Electro Luminescence screen will be used in mobile phone screens and portable telephone displays. The Organic displays are even better than liquid crystal displays as it consumes less power because the blue phosphorus optical luminescent material molecules radiates of their own and the radiation can be further enhanced by low electric power.
