Konami announces Gene Expansion for Metal Gear online

Finally! Fans of Metal Gear Online are in for some serious downloads because Konami has announced an expansion pack for Metal Gear Online. The MGO ‘Gene Expansion’ has some interesting stuff in store for us. The evolution of MGO has among others: three new maps, 2 seasoned characters from Metal Gear Solid four, a new (survival) game mode, and a “Reward Shop”. Moving on to some details, the three new maps include: Coppertown Conflict/City of Sorrow, Tomb of Tubes / Underground Waterway, and Virtuous Vista / South America Power Station; the last one features natural terrain and looks the best to me. MSG4’s Meryl Silverburgh and Johnny (AKIBA) join the ranks in Gene Expansion pack. The Survival mode will let users earn points and then use them to get the female characters into the latest gear. The expansion pack will also provide players with an additional character slot. The pricing of the Gene Expansion is not yet known but it releases in Japan on 17th.
