Till now we were dependent on satellites for location and detection.

But KLIC or Korea Location Information and Communications is changing the terrestrial-based personal portable location detection device aka 'KP-100'.

The device is based on a location information service dibbed 'mypol'. This service is used to keep track of people, especially those who need continuous attention such as disabled and children. The device has a special SOS button that can be used in case of an emergency and if pressed it can deliver your current location to the concerned people.

The device measures just 45.9 x 63.9 x 17.2 mm and weighs just 49grams which makes it easy to carry and handle.
The company is also planning to add some more features such as MP3 playback functionality in the device in the upcoming versions.

The device also is energy efficient and a single charge is enough to run the device for four days.
This device will put you down by about 160,000 KRW.
