KiteGen: The Wind-Powered Generator In Works!

A simple idea thrown into the air can change the whole scenario. Well, if you ever had a chance to feel the valor of the winds at heights in the ambiance, did you ever thought that what innovative and constructive could be reaped out of those mighty winds? An Italian firm dubbed Sequoia Automation has revealed its plans to exploit the power of winds with the help of kites to develop a power generator which they have named Kite Wind Generator alias the KiteGen.

How KiteGen works?

A cluster of kites tethered to a central rotor is fluttered in the air to a distance of over a mile. When the powerful winds hit the kites, the twirl sets the rotor in motion. A radar system is there to take care that the kites don't come in way of the aircrafts or the birds.

If we believe the words from Sequoia, KiteGen will be able enough to produce power even more than that of a nuclear plant and that too at a very levelheaded cost. I do believe the words sensing the valor of the winds. Anyway, Sequoia is expecting to turn their idea into reality within two years.
