The iPill is a robotic capsule which identifies its location in the body and is capable of performing advanced medical functions, knowing where the cause of the problem lies.
The iPill is stuffed with a microprocessor, pump and power supply. It contains medicine within, and also a wireless radio to keep it connected to the monitoring equipment outside. The intelligent pill locates its position measuring acidity and temperature in the stomach, and delivers the medicine dose in the precise area where required, reducing the side effects with a measured supply. Though it is just a prototype yet, researchers believe that the iPill is ready for mass production.
