It might shock the layman and the professional alike, but many keyboard experts have wanted to play a keyboard that looks like a guitar and the keys replace the frets. The idea is to provide a new experience for both the player and the audience. Keytar Inc’s Vinson Williams, the brain behind this innovation has released the latest version of the Keytars, the V-2. The earlier version of the Keytar, V-1 came with full size piano keys, 12 strings, Chromatically tuned C3 to B3, EMG active pickup, volume and tone controls, heavy duty pre-coated aluminum, and weighs only 8 pounds. The V-2 which is the latest version of the Keytar is significantly more advanced than it’s predecessor and has 24 full size piano keys, 24 Strings, chromatically tuned C3 to B4, EMG active pickups, volume and tone controls and is pre-coated with aluminum. It doesn’t weigh too much either, only 12 pounds. You can play both acoustic and electric numbers and use the Keytar with amplifiers as well.
