Lately we have been hearing about projectors that work as mobile phones and cell phones that work as portable printers. The latest of such high utility products include a keyboard that works as a scanner. Touted as the world’s only PC keyboard with a built-in color scanner, KeyScan Keyboard-Scanner is designed for both office and home purposes. KeyScan KS810 integrates a keyboard and a full-page color scanner but looks like any other keyboard. Business cards of up to 8½”x30 can be easily scanned and within five seconds, you will have the scanned copy of a full-page, 300dpi, grayscale document. The user just has to insert the document to be scanned into the feeder and he/she copy/fax/or save the file in Pdf/Word/Jpg or many other file formats. Surprisingly, the scanner comes with the IRIS OCR engine, which allows for easy word recognition so that you can modify the images or text. The KS810 keyboard-scanner comes bundled with the NoTouch-AutoScan software, which lets the user to complete the scanning process without using any buttons. This functional and highly efficient product comes at a price of $159.
