One look at this thing and you think it is some kind of robot but it's a new CD player from Metronome Technologies called Kalista CD Transport.

The company claims that they have finally created a CD player that achieves vinyl-quality sound. The design was drafted by aerospace and French military engineers.
The pickup mechanism has been modified from the Phillips CDM12 PRO2 and has stainless steel body. This unique product weighs 56lbs and gives an exceptional sound quality.
The product is priced at £15,000 which comes to aprox. $29,000 USD.
