A medium to commute isn’t just brilliant if it’s a Porsche or a Lambo at all times. Those supercars we drive are the outcome of a thousand brains at work together which makes it very difficult to choose the single genius responsible for the entire cause. Thus for me a genius in the automotive field can rightly be a person who creates his own medium to commute, sometimes purely out of necessity. The latter exactly is the case with post-apocalyptic scientist Mike Prendergast who created his own commuter the Spacebike. Spacebike is capable of being an ideal collecting machine with an additional set of wheels at the rear. The inspiration for creating this unique bike was a film called ‘Bed Sitting Room’ and especially the lights reflect the movies theme quite vehemently.

There is element of freakishness involved with the rear holding self designed animals as the mutant cat and another one which has something to do with the owl. Warning stripes in black and yellow as usual also find a place on this bike. Mike never intended to keep this affair clean so those 1,00,000 candle power lamps hanging at the front and a drill motor at the back doesn’t need much explanation.
