Not all gaming simulators we’ve seen have had utility as efficient and form factor as compact as the new Atomic A1 full-motion game simulator from UK-based JoyRide Simulators. Displayed at the GamesCom, the Atomic A1 is a small and adjustable simulation unit, which is made ideally for the living room space with a racing car seat, steering wheel, peddle controllers and a joystick.

Good for gamers of all sizes and shapes, the $8,000 Atomic A1 simulator lets the user experience in game actions "through force-feedback in the form of tilting, shaking and generally throwing the user about much as they would experience in a real vehicle." Designed to work with the PC games at 150w of power, the Atomic A1 isn’t currently compatible with PS3 or XBox 360. To run a game with JoyRide’s unit, each game should be supported by JoyRide.
