Paint is lame. And, from the looks of it, wallpapers are heading towards extinction. Normal wallpapers that is!

Dutch designer Jonas Samson's brainchild, Light-emitting wallpaper is exactly what it purports to be. It emits light when it is switched on and gives the room a ready source of illumination.
Switch it off and Voila! It turns into normal wallpaper. Here is what the official site says:
...it's possible to use a two-dimensional flat surface as light source instead of a 3D object. As long as the wallpaper is turned 'off', it is indistinguishable as a source of light. Instead, it is just what it appears to be: wallpaper.
As of now, the Light emitting wallpaper remains a concept. However, in time we should be able to see this go into production. Varied patterns, different colors and added features could make this high-tech wallpaper a real hit. Well, at least we hope so.
