With Halloween just around the corner, people are going super crazy coming up with props and costumes to make the festival something special. First we had costumes like "Big Daddy Bioshock" and now there's a skeleton prop controlled using a pneumatics solenoid, VSA and DMX Matrix system, complete with lighting and sound effects. Scarylady (profile name of the person) bought the skeleton from Fright Theater and then gave it a face-lift (if that would be an understatement), first using latex to give it a scary feel (as if it looked like an angel in the first place) and then painting the whole skeleton carefully. Then it was hooked onto a movable wooden base with a pneumatic solenoid to give the skeleton prop a boogie shake movement.
The whole system is master controlled by computer software via a DMX Matrix system that controls the lighting and sound effects also. I tell you one thing, watch the video with the sound muted, the skeleton prop looks like it is being electrocuted (hilarious rather than scary). For more crazy Halloween projects click here.
