A group of students at Osaka University, Japan, created a 3D bunny on a fog screen using three Pico projectors and fog. This bunny is a 3D image with 360° viewing, which uses the property of holography. In the earlier 19th century, holograms were just a fiction. But today, the students of Osaka University have made it a reality.

The Pico projectors, which are used to create the 3D bunny, created three different parts of the bunny. Where the first one projected the limbs, second created the torso, and the third brought the head into existence. Images from the three were combined to form a complete 3D bunny. The fog and the three projectors concentrated on the same area to produce a floating hologram of a bunny. The fog screen in this 3D bunny project was cylindrical. The team thinks that they can increase the size of the 3D object by making the fog screen larger by using many projectors.
In future, scientists can use the process of Holography to make 3D things. This experiment paves the way to experiment different uses of Holography for different applications in future.
