Japanese Government Present Robot Awards to Promote Robotic Industry

Japan is house of innovation related to electronics and it has produced some of the best robots. Japan has a major problem of decreasing work force due to a decrease in its decreasing population so the Govt. sees the robots as substitutes to account for most of the works.

Ten robots out of 152 have been awarded by the Japanese Govt. in robot awards set by the Govt. to promote research and development in the robotics industry.

My Spoon feeding robot, furry, therapeutic seal robot and automated vacuum cleaner robot have made a place in the award list.

All the three robots have worked efficiently for the cause they were developed. Elderly persons can control The My Spoon Robot with a joystick to feed them. Furry seal robot can respond to petting by opening and closing its eyes and moving its flippers using its sensors and has been used for treating handicapped children. The third robot is a cleaner robot that uses elevators to travel between floors and clean them.

This type of step by the Govt. will boost the moral of the manufacturers and will lead to development of much advanced technologies.
