To boost up the eco friendly devices Japan's National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST) has come up with Aimulet LA, a batteryless, light-activated handheld audio communication device with an external case furnished by bamboo.

Aimulet LA is intended to stuck to your ear and you got to stand over special LED secreted ground where Aimulet LA catches the light signals using the range of sphere-shaped Sphelar (micro solar cells) fixed at the underside of the phone and then Aimulet LA transforms the signals into audio messages.

Aimulet LA may be used in museums, zoos, botanical gardens, and so on, where it could guide visitors to visit different places. The environmental friendly nature facilitated Aimulet LA to win the 2006 Good Design Award for Ecology Design.
