Jailbreak PS3 with Android phones like Nexus One and HTC Desire
PSFreedom jailbreak tool reminds me of the iPhone jailbreak tool called JailbreakMe, which was all over the internet cloud once it gained popularity. Blokes over at XDA Developers have managed to jailbreak PS3 gaming console using rooted Android smartphone.

• Hacking or Modding your PlayStation 3 console can lead to a permanent ban from the PSN (PlayStation Network) so proceed at you own risk.
• This will disable wi-fi until the original boot.img is flashed back.
• It will also disable USB mass storage functionality.

• Sony has released 3.42 software update for PS3 which is a patch for the PSJailbreak tool. This update is mandatory if you want to continue using the PlayStation Network on your PlayStation 3 gaming console.
• MuscleNerd has confirmed that iPhones will have a similar tool that allows you to hack PS3.
