If you remember, back in 2006, SONY had showed much interest in self-balancing concept for skateboard designs. However, nothing could be delivered of this kind.
Now, Industrial designer Ofir Tal has come up with iSlide concept that incorporates self-balancing motorized board that utilizes a hydrogen fuel cell and onboard gyroscope to attain speeds of around 15 km/h.
Much more, it’s looking to optimize urban transport functionality for which necessary facilities like lights and a handle, for easy carrying, have been included in the basic design.
iSlide design is not yet finalized. But, we can hope to see a one-wheeled hands-free vehicle, that may be a blend of skateboard and snowboard.
