Is Apple scaring Dell with its 30" Cinema Displays Boost?

It's strange that Apple has boosted its 30' Cinema Displays without spilling a drop of juice. Anyway, as competition brings out the best, Apple is trying to scare Dell's 3007WFP with 400cd/m2 brightness and a 700:1 contrast ratio but at the same $2500 price tag.

If we compare it to Dell's 3007WFP, Dell emerges a winner, as per the following specs published by DailyTech:
* 178 degree viewing angle on the Dell vs. 170 on the Apple
* 700:1 contrast ratio on the Dell vs. 400:1 on the Apple
* 400 cd/m2 light output on the Dell vs. 270 cd/m^2 on the Apple
* 14ms pixel response time on the Dell vs. 16ms on the Apple
