iRex to develop color eBook reader by 2011

Posted By: Atul Roach | Jun 3 2009

iRex has always offered world class e-reading solutions, so when it promises to deliver a high-tech e-book device in a couple of year’s time, we are bound to trust the announcement. As per the company resources, the hi-tech device would be capable of reading colored documents. The e-book readers would also facilitate writing (just like the DR1000) and would be ultra-thin compared to the ones we have on the market.

Unnamed until now, another highlight of this device would be the brightness level, which would be three times that of the existing additive color electrophoretic displays. Comparisons with the physical printing routines have already begun, but we prefer not to comment on that unless the details go public.
