Is iPod touch going to have a white variant soon?

Is Apple releasing its next generation iPod touch in white? Well, no one knows for sure but if rumors are to believed, it appears that Apple indeed is coming up with a white iPod touch. iFixyouri, a parts and repair firm for iPhone, has obtained a new front panel of iPod touch, which is white in color. And according to them, the front panel is very much like that of the fourth generation. The firm had these pictures sent to 9 to 5 Mac. From the pictures it's still not clear whether these are of the fourth generation white iPod touch 4 that was scrapped before release or that of the fifth generation iPod touch.

The reports of fifth-generation iPod touch are nothing new, they have already been making rounds from quite some time now. So far, the reports of Ming-Chi Kuo, analyst at Concord Securities, had been the most accurate in reporting about the fifth-generation iPod touch. He has stated that there will in fact be a fifth-generation iPod touch, designed similarly to the iPod touch of the fourth-generation.

There's also a possibility that the fifth-generation iPod touch might feature the dual-core A5 processor and a better camera. On a further note, Apple's iPhone and iPad both have a white iPhone variant, so having a white variant for the fifth-generation iPod touch sounds quite convincing. But, of course, all these are speculations and Apple is always tight lipped about its new devices so unless there's an announcement from the company itself, these will remain as rumors.
