Not every day do we come across hacks and mods that make the treasured iPhone one heck of a camera? Still, we’ve seen a DSLR lens mounted on the iPhone 4 before, but here we have Jeremy Salvador who has his own iPhone DSLR Prototype 1.0 to impress us, and boy isn’t it better than what we’ve previously seen? Now, imagine iPhone 4’s 5MP camera with flash, HD video capability and DSLR lens enhancement – doesn’t this sound miraculous. Besides being used with iPhone 4, the Canon EF lens can also be paired with an iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS. The iPhone here rests inside a ‘solid piece of anodized billet aluminum that weighs about 1.1 lbs, has two handle grips, and 4 x 1/4″-20 female threaded mounting holes so that it can be screwed into a standard tripod. Presently only a Canon EF lens can be used as enhancement, but Jeremy believes, with an adaptor he will be able to use Canon FD lenses, Nikon lenses and M42 lenses as well.

[Thanks for the tip Jeremy]
