iphone arider
We’ve done those high-end spectacles enough. It’s time to get close to the future. Only a prototype to reckon now, the iPhone ARider, a GPS enabled retractable head-mounted display is the furthest we’ll leap for now.

From the workshop of Ubiquitous Entertainment, this portable navigation system that’s worn with a helmet is the latest trickle Japanese have managed with the iPhone 3GS. Best suited for bikkers, the system displays maps pulled out of the iPhone 3GS. Along with this the ARider also functions as a Bluetooth headset for calls, and keeps the user active with his tweets via TwitBird Pro. Different parts of the map can be navigated with mere turn of the head, user isn’t required to search apps on the iPhone. Cool! That’s making life really simple and hands-free. Video after the jump.
