Apple seems to be planning to hold up the launch of its next major iPhone and iOS updates from summer to fall. Apple is expected to roll out its next iPhone, of course the iPhone 5, in June 2011. The iOS 5 may also make an entry by then. But as per new round of rumors, Apple is busy working to integrate certain features like 4G LTE and cloud computing with its forthcoming iPhone 5 and iOS 5, naturally resulting in a delay of release dates.

Apple iPhone geeks have been waiting for a 4G LTE-compatible iPhone for Verizon Wireless and other 4G networks. When Apple decided to roll in a Verizon iPhone in February, the entire tech world hoped that it would be a device with 4G LTE capability. But then Apple COO Tim Cook revealed that to realize LTE feature, Apple would need a total restructuring of the device, which was possible only in a longer period.
Maybe Apple might have pledged to highlight its next iPhone update with 4G LTE, the new network technology that some Android rivals have already commenced to feature. Further, Apple is to unveil certain features like an iTunes "digital locker," an advanced cloud computing facility, improved mapping, voice-controlled searching and iGroups, a better location check-in system by the fall. Hence, with a delay in release, Apple can undoubtedly integrate these outstanding features with its upcoming iPhone 5 and iOS 5.
