Initially when iOS 4 came into the reckoning, it seemed a bit raw and out of sorts, with loopholes and functionality drawbacks. Then came the iOS 4.1 update which was refined having lots of improvements and additions. Lifehacker took the gauntlet on its shoulder and set out on testing iOS 4.0 vs iOS 4.1 and the tests revealed major improvements in some options like the messages and Maps. You can get iOS 4.1 software update from iTunes starting next week. As far as testing went well, noticeable improvement for iPhone 3G users but not as sleek as the iPhone 4.
