The concept of invisible technology, as displayed by Japanese academic Professor Susumu Tachi in James Bond fictions, may equip Ministry of defense with some invisible tanks and troops till 2012.
A prototype promises this possibility through some filming of surrounding scenery and then projecting it onto the men or their vehicles already equipped in reflective materials with some advanced cameras and projectors is being developed under invisibility expert Prof Sir John Pendry from Imperial College London.
But, camera/projector method still has some limitations such as invisibility from a single angle, which limits the movement of object, and hindrance due to dust particles. High tech camouflage techniques are further looking to get rid of these limitations as hiding the object inside a cloak is a better alternative. Cloak that guides light around it, like a chicane is very much capable to make it disappear from any angle.

Personally, I don’t see the concept of invisible technology materialize soon in terms of equipping it in tanks and troops. It is still very unrealistic. suv accessories
