Introducing Laser 3D: World’s first 3D laser projector
In an effort to enhance the laser projection technology in areas on entertainment, Prismatic Magic has unveiled Laser 3-D, the first 3D laser projection system in the world. Adopting the “colors of traditional laser-light shows with full-color, stereoscopic 3-D technology,” the Laser 3D is designed around Infitec's 3-D format.
For the dedicated 3D images, the projections system creates two identical images slightly different from each other, each projected by its own dedicated red, green, and blue (RGB) laser subsystem. With the use of 3-D glasses a stereoscopic parallax is created, which allows the viewer to view full-color 3-D laser image.
Though 3D glasses are need to view the projection, yet the portable system needs no special screens for projection in both outdoors and indoors. Laser-3D systems are expected to be commercially available early 2010, are we nearing an era of free-floating, holographic images?
