Interactive technology takes a big step forward with Digital Wall

Interactive systems have been there for a long time (ever thought of your ever trusty PC mouse?!), but with the recent spurt of technological advancements, they are certainly notching up the state of their high-tech prowess, by rather accentuating upon the level of interactivity. And following in those lines is the recently unveiled 'Digital Wall' at the Wisconsin Institutes for Discovery.

Whenever we enter into an imposing spatial structure such as hospitals, schools and colleges, there is always a natural tendency to get overwhelmed by the massive scale of things. This happens especially in relation to the psychology of the human mind (which is by default in-sync with the intimate scale). And this is where such convenient yet advanced technologies come into the picture. Everything ranging from the plan to the important features of the building can be displayed accordingly in the Digital Wall (exhibited at the entrance), pertaining to the functional and circulatory usage of the common user. Now 'getting lost' in a huge building would seriously be the thing of the past.

According to the producers at Zebradog, the interactive display:

...was made in a joint effort to push the limits of interactive technology; Float 4 collaborated with RealMotion in order to challenge the limits of natural user interfaces. Two large scale interactive walls, using Christie MicroTiles, displayed multi megapixel resolutions in real-time, making these among the highest resolution interactive surfaces in the world.
