Intel's Dual-core Xeons can be used in pairs for a four-core platform

Intel is well known for its cutting edge processors. The company has further extended its Xenon by introducing LV 5138 and LV 5128 processors, along with a new NetStructure MPCBL0050 "Single Board Computer" for $5,169.

The processors can be paired to be used in a four-core "platform". The Intel Carrier Grade Server TIGW1U starts at $1,550. Both the products will be available by first quarter of 2007.

Prices for the processors are

LV 5138 for $617

LV 5128 for $412
