Intel delivers Atom Z6xx processors for smartphones and tablets

Intel has finally released their Atom Z6xx series of mobile processors that run longer using less power, yet are good for PC-style 1080p Full HD video and multitasking in smartphones, MID, tablets and other handhelds. Based on the 45nm platform, the processor chips range from 1.5GHz through to 1.9GHz with up to 2GB memory, Intel GMA600 3D graphics, video encode and decode. The new processor series offers about 10 days of standby time besides like 4-5hrs of browsing and video from 1,500mAh battery. Other than this, the Z6xx series comes accompanied by Intel Platform Controller Hub MP20 that adds much more to the facets including USB/USB-on-the-go controller, smart power-management and hardware-based data encryption. The processor supports Wi-Fi, 3G, WiMAX and GPS and is compatible with Android, MeeGo and can support Adobe Flash and AIR, Microsoft Silverlight and even high-speed gaming.
