If you have ever used a device with solid-state drive then you’ll be aware of the fact that it can be really frustrating when humongous RAW image files (or any huge file for that matter) take an awful lot of time.
Luckily, Intel has teamed up with Micron Technology and has developed a technology that will boost data transfer rates from current 40 MBps and 20 MBps (read and write, respectively) by nearly 5 times to 200 MBps and 100 MBps. These NAND memory chips will provide high speed data transfer rates needed for huge files like high-quality RAW (uncompressed) images or HD media content.
