2. Downloading the mod

3. Installing the mod

  • For windows, locate minecraft.jar file. Press ctrl+r to open the run popup. Type or paste %APPDATA%/.minecraft/bin in the bar and press enter. This will get you directly to the folder.
  • For Mac, on the osx system, open locator -> Go -> Go to folder -> type or paste in ~/Library/Application Support/minecraft/bin
  • Next, create a copy of minecraft.jar for safety reasons. If things go wrong, you can always restore to the original state.
  • Rename the file minecraft.jar you just located to and open it.
  • Open the .zip file for the mod you have just installed.
  • Select all the .class files, drag and drop them in the folder.
  • Rename the folder back to micecraft.jar and be done with it.
