Ingenuity meets period design in the Homemade Steampunk Camera

Though Steampunking is in vogue currently, there aren't too many steampunked items around that are truly homemade. Howard Boys has done just that and has put together a classic homemade camera. For this, he has used a Compur shutter and a Taylor Hobson Cooke Cinema Lens. For his steampunk camera, Howard has also built a range finder with a design that dates back to the 1930s. Then, he has put together both these components between brass pieces by soldering them together. The homemade steampunk creation stands proudly on a very period Zeiss icon tripod. All this effort results in a usable camera that looks like a true relic from the past. Full marks for the sheer effort.
