India gets its first 3G tablet in Android-powered OlivePad VT-100

Launched by Olive, it features a 7-inch touchscreen and is powered by Google Android OS. It comes with 600MHz Qualcomm M7227, HSUPA support, 512MB ROM, expandable 512MB RAM, memory card, GSM support, tri-band WCDMA support, Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g), Bluetooth support, compass, G-sensor, ambient light sensor and dual speakers. It also features a 3 megapixel autofocus camera at the back and you as the user will be able to read ebooks, browse web with webkit browser. According to Techtree, “What really makes OlivePad distinct is that it is loaded with features of a tablet as well as a smartphone”. It is expected to be available in stores in August for the price below Rs. 25,000.
