Implantable chamber regrows breast from woman’s own cells
Breast cancer is the second most common type of cancer worldwide. Fatal as it is, effected women often have to resort to mastectomy to get rid of the infected breast, and thereafter lead lives in psychological dejection or get transplants done.

Now, Australian scientists have instilled some hope to regrow lost breast using a stem cell technique. The researchers are developing an implantable, biodegradable bra cup-like chamber, which will be filled with the woman’s own fat and will be fitted underneath the skin from where the breast was removed. This fat will be further attached to the surrounding blood vessels, and if all works fine scientists believe the fat will regrow regenerating the breast within six to eight months from the implant. The technique will be put to test on humans beginning sometime next year.
