When you’re wired, you are stuck and when it is wireless, the additional freedom is something you can feel good about. We haven’t seen a wireless USB hard drive so far and hence, the Imation Apollo Pro WX comes across as a pleasant surprise. And the best part - there is no reduction in speeds vis-a-vis a wired USB hard drive. The range offered by this hard drive is around 10m (approx. 30 feet), which ups the convenience of external hard drives. And with 1.5TB capacities, you would have no complaints.
Pricing & Availability: Nothing much has been heard about the pricing and release date of the Apollo Pro WX, but we believe a year-end launch is likely.
Watch This: We are suckers for wireless technology. And if it invades a segment untouched before, we are all the more upbeat. It is still early for an objective review, though.
